8 months old

Our girls are 8 months old...I almost can not believe it! I put it in perspective by saying that their 1st birthday is only 4 months away...WOW!!

Claire

• You are a SPIT FIRE! You are constantly on the go and keep me on my toes.


• You are also full of spirit - you can stop the world with your smile and charm likewise you can work my nerves and be so rotten


• You pull yourself up on everything to stand


• You started clapping your hands (that's really fun)


• You drink out of a sippy cup


• You finally like fruits and veggies (well when you are in the mood)


• You love oatmeal and fruit in the morning


• You LOVE it when daddy comes home!! My gosh you light up and become a complete cheese ball when he walks in the door


• Currently you fight going to sleep...we have to go back and lay you down (because you stand up and cry) at least 8 times before you finally stop standing and just weep while laying down - then you finally fall asleep


• Still not sleeping through the night - you get up once at least twice


• HATE getting dressed and undressed - I mean you just do not like it!


• You do however love to be naked or just in your diaper


• Love bath time

Lucy

• You are my sweet butter bean. You go with the flow and are very relaxed


• You have the softest little belly - it's incredibly sweet because it's a little chubby


• You've started to inch worm crawl your way to objects but if all else fails you just roll


• You drink out of a sippy cup


• You love fruits and veggies - you eat very well and never put up much of a fuss even if you are done


• You HATE getting your nose cleaned or messed with - it's one of the few times you will get upset


• You love when daddy comes home but since you are so laid back you really don't give much of a reaction but you can just tell that you are happy!


• You go to sleep like a champ and you typically sleep until 5am but some nights you wake up for a midnight snack and you usually end up in my bed for about an hour until Claire wakes up

Girls - One of the biggest blessings of having you at the same time is watching the love you have each other grow everyday. You love each other so much, you constantly touch each other, crawl on each other and laugh at each other. You are two beautiful gifts from God and I'm thankful for you everyday!

8 months old - getting ready to leave for our first trip to Nana and Pappy's house in Wolcottville. We had such an awesome time and can't wait to go back (more to post on that later). Side note on the suitcase, it's mine from when I was little and my mom has kept it for me all these years. I pack the girls' stuff in it any time we travel.
