Sick babies

The girls have been suffering from the first official cold...high fever, congestion, coughs and overall grumpiness (AKA screaming for 5 hours straight in the middle of the night). PTL that my mom has been here the past two weeks because I don't know what I would have done because she woke up with me every night for an entire week. I took care of the worst baby and she took care of the other (who would still wake up every couple of hours). It was so draining and they are still not sleeping through the night so some days I'm a zombie...to top it all off, after a week of being covered in snot, my mom and I both got sick (she's still sick). Soooo....I'm REALLY ready for daddy to graduate this weekend and be home for good (more to post on that after this weekend)! Below is a compilation of pictures from the past couple weeks (since I'm way behind).

These pictures are for my dad-he can't wait until the girls are big enough to go to the woods with him all decked out in orange and camo!
Claire

Lucy

A funny picture capturing their extreme love for the strangest things...I'll find them playing with everything except for their toys.

This picture was taken the first day they started feeling sick

Despite the girls having a bad cold we braved a trip to my parents house for a get together...Claire in her outfit-can you tell she was not feeling well

Claire did seem to enjoy just kicking back on Aunt Lynn's lap and hanging with Uncle Brad

She also really enjoyed playing with the cat-it was kind of unintentional but still really cute (she would pull the string around and the cat would chase it

Sick baby Lucy

One fun thing about being home is my parents have a big enough bath tub for all three of us to play in, which was so nice because I was feeling so achy and miserable along with the girls so the tub was so relaxing! This was so much fun...despite my mom dropping Lucy under water to grab Claire (keep in mind I was in the tub the entire time and had it under control) she's kind of a spaz when it comes to babies and water because of a bad experience when my sister was a baby. It's ok Nana-Lucy still loves you even though you dunked her to get Claire.

When they got fussy I put them in their chairs so they could look out the window

And finally-a new thing is they both crawl under the excersaucer and play/get stuck and get frustrated!

Congradulations on the Graduation. Sure that is a relief for you guys having that done and out of the way. The girls and their cold, so sad. You will see that one gets it they both well. We have had a bug go around here this week seems to be a 24 hour flu like bug. Yuck. The girls are getting so big and very cute. Keep up the great work. You two are great parents.

The girls look so grown up in these pics! I can't believe I still haven't met them. Makes me sort of a jerk for not just driving down there on a random Wednesday or something! Hope you're starting to feel better!
